BIKES

Glen Copus knows bikes. He knows racing. And he knows fabrication. Over the years, he’s built or had a hand in building thousands of frames for professionals and recreational riders: mountain, cyclocross, road, track, 29er, urban commuter. He’s even built a couple kid’s bikes.

Why are Elephant bikes so inexpensive?

ORDERING

When you order a frame set from Glen, he’ll build it from the ground up. There’s no one else coping, cutting, filing, sanding, welding, or brazing. All frames are made in Spokane, WA, USA, and painting is done by a local powder-coater.

If you order a full bike build from Glen he’ll assemble it and make sure it shifts and stops perfectly.

BUILD & MATERIALS

Bits of your bike will be TIG welded, bits will be brazed. But most joints are TIG welded. Expertly.

All  Elephant frames have the wishbone seat stay. It’s light, each one is custom made, and it’s the most visible indicator of the Elephant brand. The invisible indicators – years of experience, passion, thoroughness, skill – are mostly covered by the paint job, but you’ll notice them when you ride an Elephant and inspect the details.
