Glen has been heads down on the NFE stock project for the last 5 weeks or so. There are 24 bikes in this batch. The goal is to get them to paint by early next week. Hopefully, we’ll get the bikes back before the beginning of the year and in the mail by the first or second week of January.
After the first batch goes, Glen has to catch up on the custom queue. That should take him into March or so. That puts us planning the second batch for a May/June delivery. The response to the NFE has been great. Our initial plan was to do a dozen bikes – those sold out in a week or so and we doubled it to 24.
So 24 bikes is the batch size. We’ve been getting some requests for getting in the 2nd batch. We have about 18 people on the “NFE 2nd batch” list, so if that batch goes, then we’ll do a third batch. The “2nd batch” list is just a text file with email addresses of folks that have contacted us and are interested in the NFE. When we take deposits for the 2nd batch, we’ll send out an email to the list and post an update on the stock page of the website. Send us an email if you want to be on the 2nd batch email list.
Price for NFE batch 2 will be $1285. We’ll probably take deposits ($500) in early February.

Josh also took one of the photos on our homepage – the one of Dylan climbing (White?) pass in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest. Josh and Dylan presented the tour in the first Stoked Spoke Adventure Series hosted by Swift Industries. An event for which Elephant Bikes supplied many beers.
There is one more Stoked Spoke event in this series. It’s on February 3rd at the Peddler Brewing in Seattle. Glen and I hope to be there for the final event, with a freshly minted NFE.
